Your Detoxification system

Your detoxification system involves five primary organs: liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs, and skin.   Your body is designed to work all day, use the nutrients you gain from the good foods you eat, and then excrete the resultant waste.  in general, it does this overnight while you are sleeping; processing the waste products and facilitating the repair process.  Supporting the detoxification system of your body is an important step in maintaining healthy body fat composition, brain health, digestive health, and proper repair of the entire body and all it's systems.

Supplements to support detoxification

The 21-day Purification program is used to help eliminate stored toxins as well as support the five primary organs of detoxification.   It uses a combination of herbs and whole foods as well as a specially formulated protein powder to provide optimal nutrition while stabilizing blood sugar, maximizing elimination, and restoring health to an overloaded system.

Exercises to support your detoxification system

These exercises are designed to optimize healthy detoxification function.

Week 1.  Walking is the best exercise in the first week of detox. You can also add cycling, yoga, pilates or general flexibility stretches.

Week 2.  As we progress into week two, more intense exercises can be incorporated.  High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a great addition. 12- 15 minutes is all you need.

Week 3. If you are a gym rat and love lifting, this is the week to get back in the gym and re-start your weight lifting program.

Food to help detoxification

First and foremost is water.  It is critical to stay properly hydrated during any detoxification program.

In general, the average human needs half their body weight in ounces of water, e.g. if you are 100 pounds then you need 50oz. of water daily as a minimum.  As you add more physical activity, you add more hydration.

Drainage is the other factor.  Foods like garlic and radish help to improve overall lymphatic drainage in your body.
